The Rialto
CONTRUCTION PARKING INFO FOR RIALTO:
During Glenwood Avenue construction parking is available for Rialto patrons at Underwood Elementary (access from Scales Street), Hayes-Barton Baptist Church (access from Whitaker Mill Road), and Dr. Andreas dentist office (across Glenwood from Rialto). In addition, curb parking MAY be available at select times on Fairview, Scales, and Glenn. Thanks to our neighbors who have provided parking to our customers during the construction.
About the theater
The Rialto is probaby the most charming theater in the Triangle. It was built in 1942 and although recently renovated, it still retains its original beauty, with its vintage recessed lighting and performance stage.
The Rialto has one large theater with with Dolby Digital sound systems that shows foreign and independant films as well as the Rocky Horror Picture Show, every Friday at midnight.
If you want a classy movie going experience, this is the theater to come to. We even serve beer and wine along with our other concessions!
